OTHER LIVING AREA CONSIDERATIONS

Previously, we discussed a few of the most common general layouts we start with when designing Living Areas.

However, there are often other considerations to keep in mind.
Below are a few of these considerations

• The View
• Children WITHIN View
• Entertaining Capacity

THE VIEW:

The View is often one of the most important features of Living Areas we design.

Everyone wants to be able to enjoy the beautiful area we live in!
For this reason, we want to make sure we fully understand what you want to see and which direction you want your house / rooms to face.

CHILDREN WITHIN VIEW:

The ability to have your children within your line of sight may also be an important factor. This usually results in an open concept layout, allowing the parents to meal prep while their young children play in the living area.

ENTERTAINING CAPACITY:

Is your family large, or do you entertain often?
If so, we need to INTENTIONALLY DESIGN the Living Area(s) to accommodate your friends and family.

Planning for your entertainment needs during the design process, can really make your life a lot easier when you start entertaining in your new home!

CONCLUSION
The beauty of designing your own home is that it can be completely customized for your family’s lifestyle.

While one of the layouts previously discussed may be suitable for your family, you may want something more unique. This is when the other considerations we discussed lead to more creative design decisions.
